Project Management

WPI has a dedicated Project Management division managing medium and large projects. Our CIDB rating of 8EP means we have the capacity and capability to handle turnkey projects in excess of R 50 million Rands.

Projects may include greenfield or existing indoor and outdoor substation design, building and commissioning in Southern Africa, the rest of Africa and the world.

Scope of work on Projects

  • Manufacture of mini-substations for municipal and renewable projects.
  • Manufacture of MV mining skid-substations.
  • Power Factor Correction services.

Our project team manages all projects to the primary constraints of the scope of work stipulated by the customer. In addition time constraints are adhered to, to the best of our ability whilst at all times communicating closely with the client.

Quality Management Systems are put in place according to ISO 9001 standards. Budget requirements are adhered to, to ensure that projects remain on budget. When a project has been completed, a full analysis of its profitability can be produced and reviewed.

The secondary and more ambitious part is that our WPI Project team challenge is to optimize the allocation of necessary inputs and integrate them to meet pre-defined objectives and go beyond the expectations of our clients and the industry as a whole.
